Schools from across the Eastern Suburbs, New South Wales came together to celebrate Social Inclusion Week 2016. Paddington Public School partnered with Ability Links to coordinate the day and promote the benefits of Lego Clubs in schools.
Lego Clubs provide an opportunity for students experiencing social isolation, or who find it difficult to communicate with other students, to be included in play and social activities with other children. A Lego Club can help children to improve their verbal and non-verbal communication, sharing and turn-taking, as well as their collaborative problem-solving skills. The following video outlines the aims of a Lego Club, how they work as well as their benefits.
