CALD - Culturally and Linguistically Diverse

The CALD Disability Engagement Project supports culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities in the NSW Hunter region to identify and access suitable disability supports through the National Disability Insurance Scheme to enhance participation and inclusion in the community.

The Project is being delivered utilising a community advisor strategy, which builds upon the strengths and capacities inherent within communities.

  • Provide workshops to support CALD community representatives learn about the NDIS including community supports
  • Work with CALD representatives to identify and develop suitable engagement strategies which support their communities to access mainstream supports
